The Dream Project Roxx Jacqueline Garcia Goal #7 Ensure Environmental Sustainability

My experience with this project has been great. It was fun when we were told to close our eyes and have a vision of the future in 2015 if this goal were solved. I visioned that our Earth was a better place. Poeople and animals had stopped dying from water and air pollution. Anotherthing was that poeple started recycling. It was also fun when we pretended to be in 2015 at Paris and that I was a proffesional doctor. I was also known to be someone who helped when solving Goal #7 Ensure Environmental Sustainability in 2009. This project has been a facinating experience to me.

My experience with the dreamproject has been great. How we have helped our goal is by writing an article about the past and the solution. We placed that article in the school newspaper. Our goal now is to try and put that article in more magazines so that more peaple can read about it and help us with it. goal #8 isnt the only important goal , all of the goals are important if we could fix them all then that will make our world a better place for everyone.

my goal is gaol # 7 ensure environmental sustainability. i feel happy about helping the dream project. i am helping the organization of the big green help from nick. i try to do everything to help them. on all the things and projects i get for this i always try my best to complete them. i never give up just because it came out wrong i just start all over. i already know what to do so i re do it. my group always have their mind into it and never give up either. i hope that the people from the dream project are happy for what they have accomplished because i am. and so is my group. i thank miss dumaua for letting the dream project come to our class.

Goal #5 Improve Maternal Health

Hi I'm Kevin and I'm working on Goal #5 Improve Maternal Health. I am working on a fundraiser with my group and we are trying to save more than $100 and send it to our community that were working with. My group and I have raised $70. 25. I feel very happy and confident about my group because we have achieved a goal that takes more than one person to achieve. We hope that with this money we have raised and will give to the community thats working with our goal, we'll build more hospitals.

The Dream Project ^^ Its Great! =D

I have been working on the dream project for about 2 months now. I have noticed how much the world needs change and how much we need to help it. So, i now know that the world isn't going to change on its own, we have to do something to change it. " The world needs dreamers , the world needs workers , but the world needs dreamers who work."As Albert Einstein also said," A dream is not a dream unless someone dreams with you." I have learned so much about things i never knew about. There are many people taht are dying from pollution and so are animals. We are fundraising to help them. We are also donating money to Kiva. I didn't know about many things that were happening in this world, i never even knew about the MDGs. This project has changed my life because now i see that people in other places and coutries do not have the same privledges and money etc. that we have. I am very grateful to what I have now that i know about these goals.

Hello my name is Jose Salgado and I am working on goal #5 Improve Maternal Health Care. For our sevicce project my group and I are working on a fundraiser. We are selling chocolate, cheesecakes bread , and other sweets for a dollar each. So far we have raised somwhere a round 100 dollars to 120 dollars. For me things are going good. But some of the stuff I am learning is really depressing. These things depress me because my mom is pregnant. And learning that most women that don't have health care die makes me wonder what if my mom was or could be one of those women. Working with the Dream Project

Working with the Dream Project is a great experiance. It has taught me so much about all the MDG's. I'm in goal number 5- Improving Maternal Health Care, and learning all about the problems is so crazy. I never knew that women are dying every day because they don't have proper birth. The Dream Project and I are working to see if we can accomplish all the millenium Goals by 2015. The Dream Project saves a whole lot of lives, and we are so greatful that we are able to help and not just ourselves, we are alos helping the whole world. Hello my name is Jose A. I'm in goal #6 to combat HIV/aids malaria and other diseases. My group, and I are fundraising money by selling candies to give to the American Red Cross. So far we have about $24. We are hoping to raise even more mony to donate to them so that the American Red Cross can try and find more cures.

The most AMAZING Lady!

Today I met the most amazing lady. Her name is Penpa Negi. She is Tibetan and lives in India. The photo to the left is one of her and her mother. She and her brother, Lama Tenzin, a Tibetan monk, rescue children from the boarder of the Himalayas/Nepal/Tibet and bring them to safety. Not only do they save the lives of these children that would other wise live in great poverty (or worse, be picked up by the Maoist terrorists), but they give them an education and the chance to live a life of dignity and purpose.

Penpa, Lama Tenzin, along with a group of eleven children recently took a 30 day journey through the Himalayas to reunite with the children with their parents after seven years of separation...but while they were there, they rescued a baby that was left to die because she was born with a cleft pallat. This baby, Tendral Metok (Harmony Flower) has now received a surgery to fix her cleft pallet from Operation SMILE in Atlanta.

I am so impressed and inspired...I wish you all could meet her...maybe the Nimitz students will interview her for their radio show!!!
